Verify an ACLAS Credential

A practical guide for employers, background screeners and agencies that need to check an ACLAS certificate, transcript or graduate credential.

Certificate ID lookupThird-party checksRecognition varies

Start with the certificate ID

ACLAS credentials include a unique certificate ID. Employers can use the public verification service to confirm whether a credential record is valid.

  • Ask the candidate for the certificate ID and exact name on the credential.
  • Use the public verification page for a first check.
  • Request a transcript or third-party verification when your policy requires more detail.

For formal screening

Some employers and agencies prefer independent verification. ACLAS offers third-party services including Qualification Check and IECC evaluation reports.

  • Qualification Check is suitable for independent degree verification.
  • IECC reports may support standardized international review.
  • Acceptance remains the employer's own decision.

What a verification tells you

A lookup confirms the credential record: the name as issued, the program completed, the completion date and the certificate ID status. It does not evaluate academic quality and does not replace your own hiring judgment.

  • Name on the credential, exactly as issued.
  • Program name and completion date.
  • Whether the certificate ID is valid and current.

Recognition limits

We are not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Credential acceptance depends on the employer, university, regulator, licensing body or government office reviewing it.
